I don't like cranes
They remind me of a watch-tower in Germany,
Like I have encountered it before,
I believe in Reincarnation,
I don't know why.
They are evil,
Ugly things,
Which stand like some sick monument to power.
The thick steel of the legs,
The hollowness,

The empty space within it's chambers,
I can see through it.
A haze covers the base as if it was coming up through the earth's crust,

It's arm stretches out,
But curves as if it could snap back,
And recoil into someones eyes,
Blinded by ruptured cables,
Spewing out sharp thrusting splinters,
Embedding into your flesh.

(Inside the brick office) Bone cleaning
I sat by the warmth of the fire while cleaning the bones that I found that day. My hands covered in muddy water as I laid them all carefully out on the metal work bench. I used a scrubbing brush to remove most of the filth but for some, the bones were stained permanently.
